1st race of 2012
Amber Ran the Limited Late Model class at Hickory on Saturday March 31. Car was tight in both practices so we took a big swing at it and she was wrecking loose in qualifying. We tightened the car up a little for the race but the farther she ran the looser it got. Amber started 15th in the 19 car field and drove her way to 9th but on lap 12 she lost #3 cylinder and finished the race down on power. Amber still managed a 12th place finish in what should have been a last place car. All in all a good night for Amber as she now knows what it is like and what she has to do with a car that is down on power. Just another piece of experience that she can drawn on at later dates. Amber is looking forward to her next race in two weeks, which will be at Hickory in the Late Model Stock.
