same day payday loans

It would appear that the impressions that Amber made at the Revolution Racing Driving School in December went a long way. After her performance, she has 3 or 4 things in the works for 2011 and beyond.

She has been offered a full ride in a Legends Car along with a partial season in a Limited Late Model for 2011. This starts in late March and she will be racing the Legends Car at Concord, Charlotte, and possibly another track in the North Carolina area. She will also be racing a Limited Late Model for a minimum of 5 races and possibly more at the famous Hickory Motor Speedway.

She also has another party that is trying to put together a Full Ride in a Late Model for her to run in 2011. While this deal is still in the developmental state, the people involved already have the team and equipment, and are very well connected in the racing industry. This deal could become a full and viable offer in time for the start of the 2011 season.

She is also negotiating with to 2 or 3 large potential Sponsors for the funds that could land her in the Nationwide or Truck Series full time by 2012 or 2013. This depends on her development, as we will not move her into those ranks until she is ready to be competitive.

Amber’s outlook and plan for her racing future is that she doesn’t want to be, “just another female driver”.  She plans on being THE female driver that is Competitive and Successful as she moves through the ranks on the road to Nascar!

December’s Driving School Was a Great Success!

On December 7th Amber went to Revolution Racing’s 3 day driving school in Charlotte, NC where she seemed to have made quite an impression! At age 17, this was her first time to drive a late model.

After orientation the first day, the drivers took to the track in the late model cars for two days. The weather at Hickory Motor Speedway was consistently in the thirty degree range adding to the challenge.

On day Two, each of the drivers played follow the leader with the instructor and then ran 20 laps solo. After being told that “This was not a speed test, this is instructional driving,” they settled down a bit.

Amber ran consistent laps and showed great car control as well as the ability to communicate and take instruction on the radio. When she climbed out of the car her first statement was, “These things are so much easier to drive than a legends car that it’s not even funny. I love it!”

On day three the drivers were to run two 20 lap segments. In the first segment she was running .2 faster than the previous day, and about .2 off the instructor’s lap times. With about 2 or 3 laps to go, she entered turn one and felt a vibration in the car. Slowing down on the back stretch, she told the crew that there was a vibration, and that thought they had a tire issue.

She pulled into the pits, where they found broken lugs on the left rear. If she had not noticed it, and had tried to keep running she probably would have eaten the wall in turn 4 of that lap. Everyone was impressed that she was able to pick up on the problem before catastrophe while concentrating on her line, listening to the radio, and making adjustments per her instruction on her first outing in a late model. To top that off, she had managed to run consistent and ran all her laps within .04 second which included 4 laps in a row running identical times to the .001 of a second.

After the repairs, she went out for the second 20 lap segment and again ran consistent times while running another 4 laps at exactly the same time. She felt that she could have run faster, but said that when she heard them say, “This is not a speed test, this is instructional driving,” she concentrated on doing what she was told. Running consistent rather than trying to get the last 10th out of the car, she said that it was a great experience and could not wait to get into a late model full time.

She is very thankful for the opportunity that she was given by Revolution Racing and the instruction she received. She is also looking forward to good things in 2011 due to the recommendations and comments that she received from Revolution Racing after the driver’s school.
